La compila comincia con l’ acid-disco di mirwais (produttore del disco “music” di madonna) e prosegue sempre in chiave “dance” con il francese benjamin diamond remixato da alan braxe (mitico produttore francese famoso per la hit “music sounds better with you” degli stardust, prodotta con thomas bangalter dei daft punk).
Fino alla traccia 7 restiamo in territorio dancey, arrivando fino a un classico della piano-house ovvero “ride on time” dei nostrani black box.
Si prosegue poi con un pò di electro-funk (unknown dj) , passando poi all’ r&b anni ’80 del duo jam&lewis (usata poi da norman cook per il progetto beats international, ripresa col nome “dub be good to me”), passando per lo scarno rap di herbie goins (prodotto in italia!!) e il possente funk dei rose royce. Nella 13 ascoltiamo con piacere un altro bel pezzo di funk classico (johnnie taylor), passando poi a una scatenatissima raffaella carrà in un’ inedita veste groovy, per finire col un bel pezzo philly-soul dei grandissimi o’jays!
